Your Home page and readiness score

What Home shows first, how your readiness score is worked out and how to clear what stands between you and a full score.

Home is where Employee AZ opens when you sign in. You also reach it from the menu, under Work. It gathers what needs you now, how ready you are for work and where you stand. Each tile and row on it opens the page it was counted from, where it is counted the same way.

What Home shows, from top to bottom

  • Needs your attention comes first: one tile for each of Training, To sign, Health, Safety, Performance and Notifications, with the number of things waiting for you on that page. Select a tile to open the page.
  • My tasks names up to eight things waiting for you. A problem with your fitness certificate comes first, then anything overdue, then the rest by date. A training topic has a Start, Continue or Start again button; every other row opens the page that deals with it. When there are more than eight, a line under the list says how many more there are, and the tiles above open the full lists. When nothing is waiting, the list says You're all caught up.
  • My readiness shows your readiness score out of 100, its grade and what takes points off. The rest of this guide explains it.
  • Where you stand lists four figures, each opening its page: Required training complete (the share of your required training topics you have completed), Fitness certificate (its verdict and until when it is valid), Next health check (when your next health check is due) and the leave you have left this year. If your employer has not set a leave allowance for you, the leave row reads Leave left this year with a dash and No leave allowance set.
  • My documents lists up to seven documents: the current version of the ones in force and the last ones you signed. All documents opens Documents; see Find your documents.
  • Quick actions holds Check your contact details, which opens the contact details on your profile. In Romania it also holds your Commute declaration, the record of how you travel between home and work.
  • Three charts follow when they have something to show: Training progress, Leave balance and Examination validity (days left). The Calendar at the bottom shows your events and leave, and the days your training, signatures, fitness certificate, health checks and PPE replacements fall due.

How your readiness score is worked out

The score starts at 100. Each thing still to do takes points off, up to a limit for each kind. Only three things count: your training, what you have to sign, and your medical fitness and health checks.

What takes points off Points for each Most taken off
A training topic on your To do list in Training 4 24
One of those topics that is overdue, on top of the 4 above 4 16
An item under Needs your signature in To sign 3 12
Any overdue health check 20 20
A health check due within the next 30 days 5 10
A fitness certificate that ends within the next 30 days 5 5
  • A training topic is overdue when its due date has passed, or when your last session on it expired.
  • A completed training listed on To do under Sent back with a note takes no points off.
  • Overdue health checks take off 20 points in all, whether one check or several is overdue.
  • Health checks are the regular checks of a health surveillance programme you are enrolled in. They are listed on Health, under Health checks.
  • Your psychological fitness, your safety and performance items, your leave and your notifications are shown on Home but never change the score.

Grades

The grade under the score follows from it. The row of grades under the gauge highlights yours.

  • Excellent: 90 to 100.
  • Good: 75 to 89.
  • Watch: 55 to 74.
  • At risk: below 55.

Your fitness certificate sets a limit

Your medical fitness for work is not only a few points: it can hold the whole score down.

  • If your fitness certificate has expired, was withdrawn, or says you are unfit or temporarily unfit for your work, the score is held at 54 at most, so the grade is At risk whatever else is done. The first line under the gauge says what is wrong, marked Sets the grade to At risk.
  • In Romania, where a fitness certificate is required before you start work, having none on record does the same. The line reads No fitness certificate on record. You need a medical examination before you start work. Elsewhere, having no certificate on record does not change the score; an expired or withdrawn one still does.
  • If your certificate has conditions, the score is held at 89 at most, so the grade is Good at best. The line reads Your fitness certificate has conditions. Check them before you start work., marked Keeps the grade at Good or below.

Read what stands between you and a full score

  1. In My readiness, read the sentence under the grades. It names the biggest thing to clear, or what is wrong with your fitness certificate. With nothing left to do it reads You are up to date: nothing is outstanding.

  2. Read the lines under it. A line about your fitness certificate, if there is one, comes first, with a warning sign instead of points. Every other line starts with the points it takes off, the biggest first, for example 4 points for each training topic still to complete, or 5 points for Fitness certificate ends within 30 days.

  3. Select a line to open the page where you deal with it: training lines open Training, signature lines open To sign, and certificate and health check lines open Health.

  4. To see the rules on the page itself, select How is this score worked out? under the lines.

Raise your score

  • Complete the topics on your To do list, overdue ones first; see Complete a training topic.
  • Sign what is waiting under Needs your signature; see Sign what is waiting in To sign.
  • You cannot book a medical examination or a health check in Employee AZ. If a health line takes points off, ask your manager or HR how to get one. Once your new certificate or check is recorded, it shows on Health, under Medical fitness or Health checks, and the score takes it into account.

If a change you have just made does not show yet, reload Home after a few moments.

If something could not be loaded

Home never shows a figure it could not read as zero or as done:

  • If your training, your items to sign or your health records could not be loaded, the score shows a dash and the grade Unknown, with Some of your records could not be loaded, so this score is not a reliable picture right now.
  • A tile that could not be loaded shows a dash, says which page could not load, and adds Try again in a few minutes. A row of Where you stand shows a dash and Couldn't load.
  • My tasks reads We couldn't load your tasks. Try again in a few minutes., or, when part of it was loaded, Some of your tasks could not be loaded, so this list may be incomplete. It says You're all caught up only when everything behind it was read.
  • A banner at the top, Some figures below are incomplete., names the pages whose figures are missing.
Note

Reload the page after a few minutes. If a figure still looks wrong, open its page from the tile: the page shows the full list, and you can ask your manager or HR about anything on it.
